Listen to what our customers have to say about their experience at Skydive Dallas...

Hello this is Billy Joe Reynolds,

I had my first tandem skydive yesterday, 6-12-04 and I wanted to thank everyone there for making it the most wonderful experience I have ever had to this date.  The staff, instructors, filming crew, and everyone involved, video, and pictures turned out great.  Couldn't have asked for a better group of people to help and share the experience with.  I have already purchased my next tandem jump and will be returning soon, i look forward to learning to solo in future. Thanks for everything!

Your friend in life,
Billy Joe Reynolds - Dallas, TX

Hi,

I just wanted to thank you all for such a wonderful experience
yesterday. My daughter, Erin, has been looking forward to skydiving for
years (we made her wait until she was 18). She had a wonderful time and
your staff was so friendly and fun. Please tell the video man that the
DVD he gave us worked perfectly. She has already shown it to several
friends.

Thanks again.

Hi Joe & Staff,

I just wanted to thank you guys for an awesome day of jumping at the Just 4 Us Boogie! I had a blast, and whenever I get the chance to escape, I will definitely try and get back up to Skydive Dallas.

Thanks again for making me feel welcome and putting together such a great event!

Hi Everybody!

My Mother's Day gift to myself was my first skydive.  Since my son is a skydiving veteran and thought he'd have to kick my butt out of a plane, I left a message of my plan on the way to my jump.  His message to me was "MANIAC-CALL ME WHEN YOUR HEELS HIT THE GROUND"!  My heels didn't hit but my butt did, very gently.  My family's reaction (3 children and 3 grandkids) was positive all the way.  They're proud and in awe.  Hey, sure it's an accomplishment, as was flying in the puddle jumper to 13,500 ft.
My instructor was extremely professional, focused as well as enchanting.  I felt secure, confident and comfortable knowing I was in good hands and harnessed (I have bruises) to a seasoned pro.  My experience was handled as nothing less than being of the utmost importance.
I expect to learn more from my second jump - and I already have my ticket to ride!

Thanks much for a super adventure!
Caryl Meeks - Carrollton, TX

Mary Ann and I want to thank everyone involved with our jump today. I will
never forget the feeling of sitting on the edge of the door as I realized
that I was going out there.

Special thanks to Mark and Mandy!

Hello Skydive Dallas!

I am still glowing from yesterday's tandem jump (yes, my very first...)and I just wanted to thank you for an exhilarating experience.  Ernie, you are such a patient and upbeat instructor! Your calm confidence did not allow my pre-jump jitters to make a chicken out of me and I am forever grateful to you for helping me not just "get through" this challenge (this was a pretty big deal for me) but absolutely, wholeheartedly DIG IT!!!  The entire staff at Skydive Dallas is just
wonderful, very cool and so professional.  The video and photos are great, it adds so much to the experience - I can't seem to stop myself from reliving it over and over again!  The words "Ready, Set, Go" will never mean the same to me.  Thank you once again Skydive Dallas, mission accomplished!

Mary Tucker - Denton, Texas

Good Morning Joe,
Casie and I had a really great time there this weekend!  Of course we'll be back.  As a person of middle age (maybe even Middle Earth), I so appreciated the Bunk Room rules.  I don't generally stay in bunk rooms at dz's for obvious reasons.  Yours was nice, quiet, and clean.  Thank you!
Please thank all your staff for making us feel like one of your family.  And a special thank you to Mike and his staff in the cafe for putting up with skydivers while serving up quality food.  He even made me egg whites!!  Outstanding!
Thanks again and we'll see you soon.

Well I made it down and it was awesome. Before being accepted into the Army active duty, I was looking at working at Parkland in Dallas. Now that I have jumped at Skydive Dallas, I am pretty certain if things do not work out with the Army I will move to Dallas to work and skydive at Skydive Dallas. You have one top notch facility and people to go with it. I hope to make it there several times while stationed in San Antonio this fall. Keep it up!!

Blue Skies,

Dear Skydive Dallas:

I wanted to take this opportunity and say thank you for giving me a chance to jump! It was great!    Joe was my jump master and he was great! He made me feel right at home and made sure that I understood exactly what was going on!
My 3 year old daughter and husband were there to watch. My husband would not jump because first, he thought I was crazy for wanting to jump and secondly, he joked that our daughter needed at least one parent alive! So I find it very humorous that he now would like to try a tandem jump himself!
My daughter wanted to jump with me also. She cried because she could not. I promised her that when she is 18, and if she is still a daredevil like her momma, that I would take her to jump. So, in about 15 years, you will most assuredly be seeing my little girl out there!
You have a wonderful facility and the professionalism provided by your employees is top notch! I can't wait to jump again!

Thanks!
Tonya Brown - Watauga, TX

Hi Everybody

I had a tremendously busy week and just got my still shots developed on Friday. Wow they are awesome!
To Dave the videographer - I was impressed with the video, but the still shots are just incredible! If I had a depression problem I would no longer need drug therapy, all I have to do is look at these photos and I can't stop grinning!
To Dave the jumpmaster - Do you have that much fun every time or are you just hamming it up for the camera? I can only imagine the nerve it takes for you to jump tandem, not knowing what to expect from your student once you are in the air. You are very brave.
I e-mailed the pictures to my family yesterday and my dad asked what the age limit is for a first skydive. He turned 75 in March and is in great health so if he's serious and under the age limit I would love to get him down here for some fun! My sister said she definitely wants to try it. I'm not sure when Carla and I will make it back for our second jump, but I expect it will be sooner than we first thought as we both have friends who are interested in coming too.

Thanks again for a great time!
Julie Stephenson - Keller, TX

Just dropping a line to let you know how much I enjoyed the scrambles and the four way skills camp last weekend. It was well worth the drive from OK and I will gladly make the trip again if the opportunity arises. I really enjoy jumping at Skydive Dallas because of the really nice people who are always willing to take the time to talk to you and be friendly. You run a real class act. See you on Friday for Skyfest!

Hi!

I was the petite woman with the long braid that was last in her group to jump this past Saturday (9:00 am class - Shelby Lewis group). I just wanted to say thank you again for the incredible experience. It's been a few days since the jump and I STILL have a smile on my face.  People are starting to wonder!!
Bill, you had the right amount of humor when we were in the class room. You were serious and stressed the importance of things, but funny enough to release the tension. If there is any time a person could back out, it could be there, but you made it so relaxed and easy! I don't know if it was part of your job or not, but for me, seeing you as we were getting ready to meet the ground adn then having you come to greet me was really great. I hope I did everything with the landing right and I made you proud!
Mark, what can I say? You are wonderful! I was so confident in you and your abilities - it was excellent. I looked at some of the photos and I can't believe how relaxed I was when we were sitting outside on the bench waiting for the plane. No one would ever be able to guess I was getting ready to jump from 13,500 feet!! I watched the video and it was just so much fun. By the way, my lady neighbors think you are adorable and that we looked a little too comfortable. I told them - "what do you think? we were strapped together getting ready to jump out of an airplane!" Of course they are still teasing me about it!
Smithers, you have an incredible energy and an extremely dynamic personality. What is there to say about the video and photos? I've already watched it no less then 10 times and the stills are insane! I'll have to bring them when I come to do my next jump. I got them developed Saturday on my way home and I was so pumped up from looking at them (and the video a ton of times) I couldn't fall asleep. You must live off the adrenalin rush from the jumps because I am still going off it! Is it really this way all the time or does it wear off?
Guys, I can't wait for tandem jump #2 and I can only hope I get to see you (or be attached to you) for the support and true joy of the experience. Take care and stay safe!

Regards,
Lisa Giacomel - Midlothian, TX

Dear Skydive Dallas,

I came with my father on Father's Day and wanted to tell you how much fun I had. I wasn't expecting to skydive and at the last minute, my dad talked me into it. I swear to you I had the coolest instructor and camera man!! I jumped with Rick (the guy from England) And my camera guy was Dave (the one with the great smile). Which by the way I was very blessed to get them both to myself!! The service was great from the moment I walked in the door.

I plan on coming back very soon and hopefully you won't be able to get rid of me. I'll be around there often. Thank you for making my first(but not nearly last) skydiving experience a blast. Keep up the excelent service!!

Skydive Dallas,

I want to thank the entire crew at Skydive Dallas for making my 30th birthday a memorable event--June 19, 2003. I never thought I would tell everybody that I want to skydive again, again, and again. In fact, few my friends and family are planning to do their first skydive. They all saw how much excitement I had from watching my skydiving video. You all at Skydive Dallas are the best group of professionals that I ever encountered.

I am planning to my second skydive in late August along with my older brother, Oniver, and his boss, George, from work. My brother will be celebrating his 35th birthday. It will be both their first time to skydive. I'm looking forward in doing it again. Thanks again for making my 30th birthday a big time success.

Sincerely,
Oswaldo "Willis" Padron - Grand Prairie, TX

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Words cannot express my gratitude for everyone's assistance in making my 50th birthday the best ever. Every time I looked around there was another smiling face helping to make it spectacular. I'm attaching a couple of the pics that I've enhanced. If possible, I hope you will share them with Dave and Dave (instructor and photographer).

Thanks for a truly undescribable experience. I look forward to my next jump.

Regards,
Phil Slater - Dallas, TX

Hey Everyone!

I was at your place on Saturday, Sept. 5 and did my first Tandem Jump! That was the best experience of my life, it was so exhilirating! My crew was awesome...Mark and Smitty you guys are THE BEST! I have watched my video 1000 times... Needless to say, I will be back! I have already purchased my ticket to do my Level 2 Tandem and I promise that won't be my last.

You've got me hooked for life! Thank you for such a great experience, everything about that day was awesome! The staff, the facilities, the equipment...all of it was top notch. I look forward to many good times ahead at Sky Dive Dallas! Thanks for everything...and I will see you soon!

Skydive Dallas,

I wanted to thank your staff and jumpers for making me feel welcome on 5/24/'03. Everyone was very hospitable to this traveling skydiver. It is always nice to visit a place that is not cliquish and willing to accept visitors. I met so many of you that it is impossible for me to remember all of your names. This is a good thing since I am saying that I met a lot of you.

It was fun to finally see the big school bus. The huge indoor packing area was more than I expected. In fact I can say that about everything there, more than I expected. Your DZ has real nice facilities, staff and great aircraft.

Also, that was a very hailacious party that evening. We have some wild storms here in Pensacola, but it is very rare we get hail. I was telling my local jump friends about the awesome BBQ and storm that happened that night. They all want to try the "grisslet." Hope I spelled it right. By the way, I think it was better without the BBQ sauce.

Anyway, next time I am in town I will bring beer. I did not expect it to be so far from anywhere that sold beer. But, now I am aware and will plan accordingly. Not sure when that will be since I want to jump in Colorado next. I do look foreward to returning.

If anyone wants to come jump the coast, please do. They will be welcomed the same way I was. Just call to make sure we have a plane. :)

Greetings from Northern Maine!

Remember me??? I have to write and say thank you for giving me the most exciting event in my life! Skydiving is something I've wanted to do all my life, however, I always thought that when it came right down to it, there would at least be a moment of hesitation of wanting to back out or asking myself ... "My God, what have I gotten myself into now??" I can honestly say, that neither of those thoughts crossed my mind. The training helped with that, as it emphasized the danger, but also the necessary amount of training and certifications. But once I watched the video's I knew it was something that was worth the risk, and I was right!
I have one regret with the entire thing. I regret that I didn't jump right back on again. I truly regret it. It was my first day of vacation and I was on a limited budget, so I opted to be financially conservative, but nothing else compared to that experience, and I've kicked myself in the butt everyday since!
Bill you are wonderful! Thank you so much for the training and sharing in my joy, adventure and excitement. It truly added to the experience. You are such a fun guy!
Cat was awesome, and a tremendous amount of fun. (Once I knew he was a joker!)... I sent pictures back to the office before I returned from vacation ... I was told that the girls were going nutts and making comments like, " ... WoW ... look at that dude .. oh, yah, and look there's Rosa skydiving!" lol! :)
The entire experience was exciting as all get out. One of my favorite parts was leaping from the plane .. it was an adrenaline rush that no chemical could ever give you. I think my absolute favorite part was directly after the shoot went off. It was total silence and peace. It was a spiritual experience. It was so beautiful ... in my soul ... to be floating with total silence and just watching the world below me. I remember asking God if it felt this good to be Him during this episode. (See, you knew I wasn't wrapped too tight, didn't you??)
God didn't create words to be able to explain some things because he wanted us to "just know" from our own experience, and this is definitely one of those "things" ... you just can't explain. It's like God elbows you, gives you a little nudge and says with a gleam in his eye, that, pardon the contradiction, has a bit of develish gleam to it, " Hey, wanna have a blast, feel powerful and minuscule at the same time?"
I still giggle and clap my hands when I watch the video and recall the excitement. You'll be interested to know that I am researching local places (since I live in Northern Maine) that provide instruction so that I can learn to do this on my own. I love it!
Thank you all for all your laughs and truly sharing in my excitement! Everybody was so sweet and nice and so much fun to be around. I could tell they knew how I was feeling, and they wanted to share in that joy for the unspeakable truth of the moment. I went to six flaggs a few days after my tandem. It was a downer in comparison to this ...

Kindest and Joyous Regards,
Rosa McNally "Tandem Skydiver" - Caswell, ME

Thank You!, Thank You!, Thank You!

I had a great time, and can't wait to jump again! You were a wonderful Teacher, coach, and Friend! I appreciated the professionalism of your staff, facilities, and the wonderful people that make up Skydive Dallas.

Hugs to everyone!
Sandra Johnston - North Richland Hills, TX

Hi!

I recently visited your facility and must admit was a little leery about this. I signed up for the AFF class held on 8-10-3. After the class was over there was a delay before we could jump. Some jumps from Saturday had to be rescheduled. Unfortunately I was not scheduled to jump until 7pm I thought that I was going to have to go back another day due to a store meeting at my employment. However your staff some how bumped me up and I greatly appreciate this.
Your staff out there is the best and the people out there are bar none the greatest in the world. I was then called to the red carpet and was given my jump suit and rig. After suiting up and a little more practicing my exit with gear on, it was then time to board the plane. Honestly after we arrived at altitude I was not sure if I was going to be able to do this but when the time came I overcame and conquered.
I had the best time of my life and have already made reservations to go back and do this again. Unfortunately I am bad with names but would like to thank Ernie class room instructor Mandy and the other instructor who jumped with me and a special thanks to the camera man I have watched this tape over and over. I feel like I have a new family take care and blue skies.

Hi!

For my 26th B-Day my girlfriend surprised me by taking me for my first skydive. When we arrived at the D Z and got checked in I discovered that an attempt to break the Texas state skydiving record was going to happen just before I went up for my jump. After my training and gearing up, the divers landed after breaking the record(congrats to all) and it was time for my plane trip, one-way of course.

So my group got on the plane and ascended to a beautiful 13,500 ft and on the accent I was told that Mike(my instructor) and I would be the first tandem out. Which was great for me because the other three tandems were all girls so if I go first then I can't punk out.

First the solo jumpers then me.....OHH MY GOD. Funny, thought I might hesitate but not one bit. Just up to the door and out the door. Then the ride of a freaking life time, from jump to landing. I still don't believe it "I jumped out of a perfectly good airplane" and I WILL do it again. I live in Little Rock AR and I will gladly drive five hours to go to Skydive

Dallas. Thanks Mike, John and to everyone at Skydive Dallas for the best B-Day ever. I will see you again.

Peace,
Wes Pugh - Jacksonville, AR
